Adopt a Cat

Since Paws in the City does not operate a shelter, we do require an adoption application before we do an introduction in the fosters home. The applicant will then be contacted within 24-48 hours to arrange a time to meet with the foster family and the cat.  Home visits are required in addition to a signed contract and adoption fee of $100 before leaving any animal in a new home. If for any reason the cat does not fit into the family or is not accepted by the other animals, the family will not need to rehome the cat, as Paws in the City's policy states we will accept the cat back into the program to make available for adoption.

All cats are spayed/neutered, fully vetted, vaccinated and microchipped. Each cat is up to date on flea preventative.

Paws in the City is a 501(c)(3) all-volunteer, no-kill organization with the commitment to ending the overpopulation, abuse, and neglect of Dallas/Ft. Worth area dogs. We have no paid staff. 100% of all funds raised goes directly to dogs in need. Our goal is that every adoptable dog gets a loving home.

Please be mindful that PITC is a volunteer organization and our lifesaving efforts are performed in our spare time.  We ask for patience while we respond.
